Dear Derren, funny enough we have the same Surname but we surely do research in different areas.
I really like the way you are so patient with your work (because lets face it, you need to be very patient and creative for this type of business), you have amazed millions of people with your skills and have even fooled those who try to take our hard earned cash by showing them what they do is absolutely fake and could be done by anyone.
One of my main interests about your shows is that most of the time you show people how a good trick can fool the mind, a lot of the tricks you practice are neural based experiments that exploit a portion of the brain to make a person do something completely different, although of course this doesnt work on everyone (as shown on your series) since there are people who brake the pattern of normal thinking (expected outcome thinking).
There are many things I would like to learn about what you do, mainly the areas that deal with memory and the way things can be presented to someone to alter their thinking (like in the show were you grabbed a couple of business people for the Heist Experiment), that was quite excellent and would have loved to see a bit more detail of the presentation you did to them.
Anyways thanks very much for putting all your time into your shows, I will continue to watch them closely.
