Hello Michael,

While in recovery mode run blackra1n once again and it will boot your iphone into normal mode (tethered mode).
This should do it.
You need to do this every time you reboot your phone.

I tried to jailbreak my 1st gen 2g iphone for 3.1.2 using blackra1n tonight and it didn’t download correctly and put my iTunes and iPhone into recovery mode. Would the PWN Tool restore my iTunes and then jailbreak and unlock my iPhone?

Help me please, just bought this phone and pretty freaked out right now that I screwed up my iPhone.

There is a way to Jail Break the 3G, I will be posting it soon, the only thing is that it upgrades the baseband so its kinda tricky to do it properly without messing the iphone up.
Keep on checking the iphone section though, I promise to post the method of hacking the latest firmware.

Yeah its a shame, but its in the works, there is currently a dev build for the 3gs but its very manual, the gui version should be out soon for both Windows and OSX.
