So many of you have tried to jailbreak the devices at the Apple Store but have been unable because they have configured their routers to redirect jailbreakme.com to go to apple.com
An easy way to bypass this is as follows:
- Open Safari on the iPhone
- Go to: http://www.smoothproxy.co.uk
- On the bar above and below the ads type in jailbreakme.com and press go.
- Make sure the following options are selected at the top (the others should not be selected) – encode URL, Allow Cookies,
- Press Go once again
- Jailbreak the iPhone
This was successfully done today about an hour ago by myself.
