U.S. Army to test Kinect in helicopter’s cockpit
We have been informed about the U.S. Army’s intentions of testing the world-famous Microsoft Kinect as a head tracking system in their ultra-expensive helicopters.
The $150 peripheral is a real bargain compared to the amounts the Army is accustomed to spend on similar devices.
According to Technewsdaily:
| “New technology from the gaming world has the potential to substantially reduce the cost of adding head tracking to conventional helicopters, as well as the ability to do body tracking and gesture recognition to support future intelligent cockpits,” according to the Army’s solicitation for the small-business innovation research program on April 25.
Such intelligent cockpits may feature “Minority Report” virtual controls and displays, automatically identify targets a pilot is seeing outside the cockpit, report on damage based on where a pilot looks, or even monitor a pilot’s mental and physical health based on his or her motions. That futuristic vision starts with motion-tracking technology. Having cheaper and more capable motion-tracking technology could especially help military helicopters missing head-tracking systems, such as the Blackhawk, Kiowa Warrior and Chinook. But the same system could also end up helping soldiers inside ground vehicles or at work stations, as well as commercial airline pilots and civilian drivers. |

![]()
Added Dash iso loader
A new update of the Boxzii’s firmware is already here adding an exciting feature of ISOMENU
More great Xbox 360 scene news we have here this morning.
The team behind the famous BoxZii for hacked Xbox 360 consoles has updated the firmware of the module 2 to version 1.5 which adds ISOMENU feature to allow selecting the ISO to load directly from the dashboard.
Fixed READING…. issue over some FAT and Slim consoles
FIRMWARE 1.5 :
Added IsoMenu in-dash (NOTE : We’re against this isos loading method and it has only been added due the users high demand, this method can be locked by microsoft in further kernel updates, use it as your own risk) , we use a special method do not touching any code at the dash (not like “someother devices”),so we avoid any detection because the drive firmware modification, to activate this new feature:
- 1. Iso games must to be at \boxzii folder of your detected SDA1 hard drive/pendrive
- 2. Use ISO GENERATOR icon to make your virtual iso(must to be regenerated each time that you store new isos) After you press generation icon,Boxzii will start the iso generation,a xbox reboot is made when finished
- 3. Enable the ISOMENU icon at the config screen Mixed Disc is detected,go to Xbox dash Audio player and select your iso

Liteon DG-16D4S PCB Update 1.1 by Team Xecuter
![]()
New version of this Unlocked Replacement PCB
The Team Xecuter has released a new version of its popular PCB for unlocking Liteon DG-16D4S drives on Xbox 360
Team Xecuter has released a new version (revision sounds better) of its Liteon DG-16D4S Unlocked Replacement PCB solution.
The main difference with the old one is that it now has the unlock switch moved to the outside of the DVD drive for easy access without tearing apart the drive each time you want to press the button.
After many requests from resellers and customers we have added a small upgrade to the next batch of Unlocked PCB’s
We have also included LED’s to indicate the boards WE status.
Due to it’s huge success and ability to buy larger quantities of IC, we have also been able to lower the price by a massive $10 so the MSRP is now only $59.95.
Stock has already started to arrive at resellers so you don’t have to wait to buy one.

- Multi-Disk Games
Multi disk games can now be run from the hard drive and still function properly when the game requests to switch disks. In order for Fusion to auto detect and switch to the next disk of a game, the game must be put into a special folder structure. Every disk for the game needs to be ripped to its own folder named disc1, disc2, etc. Each disk folder must be placed inside a folder just for that game.
Here is an example folder hierarchy:
\Battlefield 3\
\Battlefield 3\disc1\
\Battlefield 3\disc1\…
\Battlefield 3\disc2\
\Battlefield 3\disc2\…

Installation
1. Start by running FusionSetup.exe and fill in the required information for your console. SMC code can be extracted from J-Runner or 360 Flash Dump Tool, and imported with Fusion. No other files are required.*
2. Write the image you just made in step 1 to your console using J-Runner or NandPro or your nand flashing software of choice.*
3. Using ImgBurn or your iso writing software of choice, burn the provided bootdisk iso “Fusion Bootdisk v1.0.6.iso” to a CD-R. Once the disk has been burned, place it in your console’s dvd-drive and turn the console off.*
4. With your HDD connected, the fusion nand image flashed, and the boot disk in your console’s dvd-drive, power on your console. Within a few seconds you should see the boot disk install screen appear. The boot disk will take a few moments to copy required OS files and when it is done your console will reboot. When your console reboots it will boot to either the dashboard or the dev-launcher depending on the settings you specified when creating the nand image.*
Your console is now running Fusion v1.0.6, enjoy!

X360USB PRO News
Team Xecuter has put into production the successor of the handy all-in-one tool with mass storage capabilities, X360USB PRO for using in hacked Xbox 360 consoles.
The new X360USB PRO V2 comes with a lot of new features that makes this a must-have device for all techies out there.
Here is the official announcement:
Now tasks such as repairing your Xbox 360 DVD Drive’s firmware or upgrading your broken DVD Drive to a new one without the expensive fees charged by the manufacturer just got easier than ever before. Whether you are a beginner or advanced user, this multi-use Mass Storage controller is an essential addition to any toolkit. You can even connect your 360 Hard Drive to get full access to your files, or even connect any Western Digital Hard Drive and convert it to be 360-compatible using the X360USB PRO HDD Hacker tool – no other device can do this in Windows!
The layout of the entire circuit has also been completely redesigned using the same high-end facility that produces the best-selling X360USB PRO v1, and is now packed with more features than ever before, giving you everything you need in one handy device. This truly is the modder’s tool of choice.
You will also be happy to know that the X360USB PRO v2 is released complete with its slick-designed case to give extra protection and a quality design that is not just on the inside, but on the outside too.
BONUS “SECRET” FEATURE
It’s no secret that production has been delayed since the end of 2011 as Xecuter were working on a new killer feature that would seal the deal for the X360USB PRO v2 as being the absolute ultimate in 360 DVD/HDD connectivity and data conversion/transfer.
As of March 2012, success was achieved in giving the X360USB PRO v2 a truly awesome feature. You are now able to connect any stock 360 DVD Drive to your computer using the X360USB PRO v2 via USB and it will instantly give it a drive letter in Windows! No custom firmware required, no 0800 firmware required, ANY stock 360 Drive can be used to rip backups using a new upcoming version of XBC with a fully optimized profile giving total support for XGD3 with the data throughput supporting the maximum possible bus speed using ANY stock 360 DVD Drive model (That’s all Phat and all Slim models – including the Hitachi 0500 !).
It has been suggested by another manufacturer that using USB3 gives faster ripping speeds, but obviously this is nonsense as USB2 supports up to 22x, and the 360 DVD Drive peaks at around 12x – so you will have the maximum possible speed that the system can handle available to you at all times.
This has never before been achieved and we feel it gives the X360USB PRO v2 the honor of truly being the most powerful tool ever created for the 360 Repair professional.
Whether you are a beginner or advanced user, this multi-use Mass Storage controller and Automated Power Adapter is an essential addition to any toolkit.
