DarkRiver which claims to be from a windows phone 8 device running via RDA has leaked a couple of screenshots of what the Windows 8 Phone would be like.

The news comes through nokiainnovation.com (photos too).

First off, he says this is the integrated skype on WP8  and how it looks, this is a much awaited feature and we will definitely see it on the next major upgrade to windows phone, from the images you have the option to answer a Skype call with or without video, you can also initiate Skype chat from the user’s profile, pretty awesome!

Nokia already confirmed we will see the PureView technology on new Windows Phone 8 Nokia devices, as you know Nokia will be given more leeway than other OEMs to tweak the WP8 OS, I cannot confirm if this is what the new camera UI will look like, as it looks really simple, unless most of the settings are not in plain view. tapping the 3dots should unleash a whole new set of functions you can tweak.

It just shows a vertical bar which looks like its the zoom in/zoom out setting, the 3dots button, the upper button for switching between the main camera and the front facing camera, the other button I cannot quite make out what it is..

Based on the next screenshot, an interesting feature coming to windows phone is the ability to monitor data usage natively, I don’t think this is possible on current windows phones, it is however available on Symbian devices, but this screenshots shows that the new windows phone 8 will be able to monitor your data usage, the first bar shows how much data you have left, the second shows how many days remaining on your data plan, and it seems you can even adjust your data plan based (see more data plan) on the data report (pie chart %) from the in-built app. There’s even a live tile for instant access. awesome!

Lastly, here is the UI of the Nokia Drive 3.0, as you already know this will come with updated traffic report and re-routing, though this is not really a windows phone 8 feature as it will be updated to current windows phone, anytime now?… OK we’ll wait!

It’s once again time to fire someone in the planning room as another “confidential” roadmap has been leaked by a manufacturer – this time by Fujuitsu, this map showing off tablets galore. This map shows several new items, in fact, with two Android Slates coming up along with two Windows 8 Slates on the docket as well.

This roadmap shows Fujitsu dipping in to both the Android and Windows 8 worlds with four new products, each of them coming inside 2012. The first to be appearing is what this map calls a 10-inch High-End “Bacura”. This device will be running Android and would appear at first to be lining up with what we know as the Sylistic tablet we caught a glimpse of earlier this year. Lo and behold on the other hand, the last device on this map is also coming with the name “STYLISTIC” this time with the name Q5xx tacked on its 10.1-inch self and more importantly including Windows 8 instead of Android.

Next there’s another 10-inch Volume Android slate which we’ve not seen nor heard of quite yet, this slate coming in the second quarter of 2012. Finally there’s what Fujitsu calls a “New performance Slate with attachable keyboard” set for the third quarter of 2012 running Windows 8 as well.

In addition to these lovely additions to the Fujitsu family coming this year, several Windows 7 “convertable tablets” will be popping up in the coming months. The first is a Lifebook T902 with a 13.3-inch display, that second is a Lifebook T732 with 12.1-inch display, both of these device being pushed with 3rd Generation Intel Core Ivy Bridge processors and will be guaranteed an upgrade to Windows 8.

Shortly after launch, a few issues cropped up forcing us to stay up all night on Hot Pockets® churning out fixes. If you were previously having problems with unlocking your device, we ask that you please re-download the client and try again. (We released a new version.)

Some additional points we want to bring to your attention:

• The 10-year-old Windows XP operating system is not supported. This is a limitation imposed by various Windows Phone prerequisites of this century.
• Provided unlocks are equivalent to those provided by Microsoft’s App Hub. That means 10 side-loaded applications. That also means no “Interop access”.
• When an unlock is attempted, your token is marked as Used immediately. If an unlock fails for whatever reason, it will be queued for reset. This process takes a little time, due to the validation hoops we must jump through.

Here’s a short change log of what we changed:

Unlock Utility

• Added retry dialog, giving you a chance to unlock your Windows Phone screen if it’s locked. (Previously, you would have to wait in line again.)
• Added cookie trimming, just in case you make a boo-boo while pasting it in.
• Added platform checks, to avoid x86/x64 confusion.
• Resolved an issue related to continuous position checking, even when a result was received.
• Resolved an issue related to the attempted animation of the welcome text, before the window is fully loaded.
• Resolved an issue related to the configuration file not being written to disk correctly in several cases (e.g. Internet Explorer “Run” users, indirect execution)

Website

• Changed the text of three countries to match common equivalents (e.g. PRC to China). Users will now find Venezuela, China, and Pakistan much easier.

Backend Services

• Improved logic in the queuing and registration areas
• Shortened the timeout for failed unlocks from 5 to 3 minutes.
• Improved some internal auditing. (To better document how users love to break things.)

Again we cannot emphasize enough — if you are still trying to unlock, please re-download a new copy of the client. We updated it and it’ll give you the best odds for success.
